The Niger State chapter of CS-SUNN held a step-down training on the PINNS project. In her welcome remarks, the State Coordinator, Mama Laitu Danladi welcomed participants and encouraged active participation.
A brief introduction of the PINNS project was given by Mary Jalingo. She explained that PINNS is the Partnership for Improving Nigeria Nutrition Systems (PINNS). According to her, it is designed to strengthen the Nigerian Nutrition Systems to be more result –driven, effective, serviceable, efficient and transparent to facilitate the delivery of Nutrition interventions and to hold government accountable on commitments made to allocate, release and use transparently funds for the implementation of high impact Nutrition intervention in Nigeria through evidence-based advocacy.
She mentioned that PINNS project will be implemented at the federal level (FCT) and in five states including (Niger Lagos, Kano, Kaduna, and Nassarawa)
Mr Igba Felix took the training on Policy and Advocacy, Change Agency and Partnership.
At the end of the meeting, the State Chapter Coordinator, Mrs. Danladi appreciated participants and encouraged increased commitment from members to move the state coalition forward.
